This Returns & Refunds Policy explains how Canada Wash Chemicals (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles returns, refunds, and exchanges for industrial cleaning chemicals, car wash detergents, degreasers, and specialty cleaning products. By purchasing from our store, you agree to the terms outlined below.
General Return Policy
Because our products include industrial cleaners, acids, caustics, degreasers, and TDG-regulated chemicals, returns are handled differently from standard retail items.
Most chemical products are NOT eligible for return
Due to:
Safety concerns
Regulatory requirements
Risk of contamination
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) restrictions
Once a chemical product has shipped, it generally cannot be returned.
Eligible Returns (Case-by-Case Basis)
A return may be accepted if:
The product arrived damaged, leaking, or defective
The incorrect product was shipped
Packaging was compromised upon arrival
All return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
We may request:
Photos or videos of the damage
Order number and product details
Description of the issue
Once approved, we will arrange a replacement or refund.
Non-Returnable Items
To comply with chemical safety laws, we cannot accept returns for:
Opened or used chemical products
Any TDG-regulated or hazardous material
Acids (low pH cleaners)
Caustics / alkalines (high pH cleaners)
Industrial degreasers
Concrete cleaners
Two-step wash chemicals
Drums (205L) or totes (1000L)
Custom orders or custom blends
Clearance or discounted items
If the product can no longer be sold safely, it cannot be returned.
Damaged or Leaking Shipments
If your shipment arrives damaged:
Take clear photos immediately
Note damage on delivery paperwork (if freight)
Contact us within 48 hours
Provide your order number and photos
We will replace or refund the damaged items after reviewing the claim.
If damage is not reported within 48 hours, the carrier may reject the claim.
Incorrect Product Received
If we shipped the wrong item:
Do not open or use the product
Contact us within 7 days
We will arrange replacement or pickup
We cover all return shipping costs
If the item is opened, used, or tampered with, we may not be able to accept the return.
Customer Order Errors
If the customer ordered the wrong product, size, or quantity:
Returns may not be available due to safety & TDG rules
Refunds are generally not provided once the order has shipped
To avoid issues, please double-check product type, pH category, and container size before ordering.
Refund Processing
Refunds (when approved) are issued to the original payment method within 3–7 business days.
Refunds are only issued for:
Approved damaged product claims
Incorrect items shipped
Defective products (rare)
Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the error was ours.
Freight & Bulk Order Policies
Bulk shipments of:
20L pails
205L drums
1000L totes
are final sale once shipped.
Due to transport regulations, these cannot be returned unless damaged upon arrival.
Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before they ship.
Once a tracking number is generated or the carrier has picked up the order, cancellations may no longer be possible—especially for hazardous goods.
