Dilution & Mixing Guides

Standard Dilution Chart

Most CWC products follow common mix ratios used across fleet washing, soft wash, and industrial cleaning:

1:1 — severe soil

1:4 — normal cleaning

1:10 — light soil

1:20 — maintenance

RTU — no dilution needed

Soft Wash Mix Guide

Roofs: 2–4%

Siding: 0.5–2%

Concrete: 1–3%

RS-DR: 30–100 mL per 20 L depending on cling needed

Car Wash Chemical Dilution Overview

Presoak: 1:20 → 1:4

Soap: 1:20 → 1:4

Drying agent: 1:500 → 1:200

Conditioner: 1:100 → 1:20

Degreaser Dilution Recommendations

Light: 1:20

Medium: 1:10

Heavy: 1:4

Extreme: 1:1

Concrete & Flatwork Mixing Guide

Light soil: 1:20

Medium soil: 1:10

Heavy soil: 1:4

Severe grease/industrial: 1:1

Organic stains: 0.5–2% SH

Application Guides

Two-Step Truck Washing (Acid + Caustic)

Acid first, no rinse.

Caustic second, full coverage.

Rinse thoroughly.

Never apply to dry surfaces.

Use PPE.

House Washing & Soft Washing

0.5–3% SH depending on surface.

Add RS-DR for cling and visibility.

Bottom-up application, top-down rinse.

Keep mixes lighter on metal and vinyl.

Car Wash Tunnel Chemical Placement

Presoak → Soap → Rinse → Conditioner → Sealant → Drying Agent → Blowers

Heavy Equipment & Agricultural Cleaning

Grease/oil: ID-SC (1:10–1:4 or 1:1 for heavy)

Eco-sensitive areas: BIO-D (1:20–1:4)

Severe soil/oxidation: HD two-step

General washing: CW-F foam

Pressure Washing Surface Guide

Aluminum: PS-safe only (avoid HD)

Concrete: ID-SC, BIO-D, SH, IC-C

Paint: CW-F, PS-system (avoid HD)

Stainless: PS-safe (avoid strong acids/caustic)

Plastic: CW-F, BIO-D

Rubber: BIO-D, CW-F, AD-CD

Wood: SH (0.5–2%), RS-DR, BIO-D — avoid HD products

Safety & Compliance Resources

Chemical Storage Best Practices

Acids: cool, away from caustics

Caustics: cool, away from acids

Degreasers: cool, sealed, away from sparks

SH: dark, cool, NEVER near acids

Use containment + proper labeling for all

PPE Requirements by Product Type

Light cleaners (CW-F, NS-WC, AD-CD): Gloves + glasses

Degreasers: Nitrile gloves + glasses

PS System: Gloves + goggles

HD System: Full PPE (gloves, goggles, apron, respirator if needed)

Iron Cleaner: Gloves + goggles

Soft Wash (SH-12): Full PPE + avoid misting

WHMIS/GHS Label Overview

Corrosion: burns metals/skin

Exclamation: irritation hazard

Health: chronic/respiratory risks

Environment: aquatic toxicity

Always read the label before use.

Troubleshooting & Technical Tips

Why a Presoak Isn’t Performing

Match pH to the soil

Give proper dwell time

Use soft water when possible

Increase strength for heavy soil

Follow correct two-step order

Soft Wash Issues & Fixes

Increase RS-DR for coverage, cling, and dwell

Increase SH % for weak cleaning

Check pump flow & filters

Avoid hot, windy surfaces

Keep surfaces wet until finished

Pressure Washing Lines & Streaks

Replace tips regularly

Maintain consistent wand distance

Keep surface wet during chemical dwell

Use proper nozzles (40° for siding, 25° for concrete)

Let chemicals do the work—not pressure

Degreaser Isn’t Cutting Grease?

Increase strength (1:20 → 1:10 → 1:4 → 1:1)

Use heat for better lift

Add light agitation

Allow more dwell time

Use the correct product: ID-SC for heavy grease, BIO-D for eco areas
